Nick Jonas is looking back at one of his most famous film roles with fond amusement.

Anyone who has been online for while has likely seen memes and viral clips circulating from the 2008 Disney Channel original movie Camp Rock, starring Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers, as well as its 2010 sequel. Even the films' stars have noticed a resurgence in its popularity recently, and the "Jealous" singer spoke to People about the lasting impact of the movies.

Jonas reflected on his time filming the fan-favorite movies and seeing people reacting to certain clips, such as the iconic scene with campers stomping through the woods on route to battle fellow wannabe rockstars at a rival camp.

"I understand the impact the film had and has had. And I am super amused, I would say, by the clips from it that have since gone viral now on TikTok and other places," he said, adding, "I'm going to say 'amusing' because I also think it's hilarious. I remember thinking of that one in particular, the sort of stomp moment. I remember thinking while we were shooting, 'This is really strange.'"

Jonas added that "you just kind of go with it" because it "doesn't have to make sense" given the target demographic for the films likely wouldn't care if it made logical sense or not.

"And you expect to sort of be protected by the fact that the primary audience for something like that is adolescents and they won't care as much," he said, adding, "But then, of course, they all grow up! And it's probably the same thing as if anybody went back and watched their home videos from high school and college. It's that, but for us, it's pretty public."
