Eight miles of I-75 are the focus of a massive road construction project in Oakland County starting in early March. Those orange barrels will be lined up from northwest Troy south to Madison Heights.
Here's what you need to know:
All traffic will move to the current southbound lanes and in mid-March, traffic will go down from three lanes to two lanes (north and south-bound 75) and separated by a concrete barrier.
These changes will extend through late November and then the opposite will happen: all traffic will be moved to the northbound 75 lanes.

According to MDOT, this entire project is set to be completed in November 2020.
