Zac Brown Band's Coy Bowles Sparks Joy With New Children's Album

Zac Brown Band's Coy Bowles is hoping to spread some positivity in these difficult times with the release his children's album, Music for Tiny Humans.

Originally the album wasn't going to be released until May, but Bowles decided to push up the release date to March 27 in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. "I was supposed to release it in May but there’s too many kids with their parents at home right now in a crazy time," he explains on Instagram. "It’s 100% positive and it needs to be out now not later. Spirits lifted by song and music."

A portion of the proceeds will go towards Save the Children, an organization providing children in need with food and other basic necessities while schools are closed due to the virus, and MusiCares's Coronavirus Relief Fund to help musicians who are out of work during this time.

"I put more heart and soul and love into this album than anything I’ve ever done professionally," Bowles says of the album. "Music and story have great power, especially in a time of need. I believe that the positive nature of this music will lift spirits, give hope and provide a release for kids, parents and teachers."

Bowles has also been hosting live shows on social media daily in hopes that it'll help parents out who are in an unplanned situation of having to homeschool their children.

"I decided that I could support parents and teachers, and enrich children through music, stories, creativity and movement," Bowles says. "These live shows bring a lot of happiness to my days and I love hearing that it’s having a positive impact on families."
